Knowledge is power, if you know it about the right things.

The following dimensions are measured by the Afriforte Stress Assessment:

The Afriforte Stress Assessment Risk Categories

Focus where the risks are!

An individual’s stress risk is calculated in real-time by means of multi-dimensional algorithms that consider the ASA dimensions in terms of the norm. The ASA generates the following risk categories:

Critical stress risks
Critical stress risks. Individuals in this risk category are at alarming risk of stress combined with low personal wellbeing. The personal resources of these individuals are affected which impedes their ability to deal constructively with stress demands; therefore, psychological and physical ill health, and risk behaviour might become apparent. Follow-up of these individuals for further emotional and physical evaluation is of the utmost importance.
Serious stress risks
Serious stress risks. Individuals in this risk category are at alarming risk of stress but personal resources are not yet affected. However, these individuals also need urgent follow-up because they remain at higher risk of psychological and physical ill health.
High risk of stress-related psychological ill health
High risk of stress-related psychological ill health. Individuals in this risk category are at risk of depression and mental health decrements but personal resources are not yet affected and physical symptoms of stress are not yet evident. Follow-up of these individuals is important in order to prevent further mental health deterioration and to protect physical health and personal wellbeing.
Burnout Risk
Burnout Risk. Individuals in this risk category are at high risk of Burnout but not yet at high risk of stress-related psychological and physical ill health. Follow-up of these individuals is important because Burnout affects the emotional wellbeing of individuals resulting in higher risks for depression, mental health decrements, and risky decision-making. Physical health risks might also become apparent in future.
Elevated risk of stress
Elevated risk of stress. Individuals in this risk category are at moderate risk of Burnout and/or Stress-related ill health. Proactive follow-up should be considered as well as awareness pertaining to stress management and the importance of effort-recovery and healthy lifestyles.
Manageable stress levels.
Manageable stress levels. Individuals in this risk category are not currently at risk of stress related ill health and/or Burnout. Proactive awareness pertaining to stress management and the importance of effort-recovery and healthy lifestyles to protect individuals against stress and Burnout in future is applicable.
